Ulises Meza
I am a Sculptor living in Northern California who works with a variety of materials. My foundation is in ceramic work. I attended UC, Berkeley where I developed my ability to model the figure with clay.
I found ceramics too limiting and decided to explore different materials. I received my MFA from CSU, Chico in Sculpture. I have no preferance of materials. I believe in using whatever makes the work the best it can be.
I have taught design and sculpture at CSU, Chico. I have also taught art in the General Studies Thematic Program. I enjoy working with students and seeing them develop ther skills in the studio as well as their conceptual understanding of their work.
